How to kick-start freelancing in graphic designing?

Spread the love

I think there are plenty of answers on the internet. Still, i will add my points.

If you just completed your Multimedia/Design Crash course then Congrats!

Starting off Freelancing gonna be little frustrating and tough sometimes.

Many beginners face the problem of not getting any work or client when they kick start. So I gonna let you know how to tackle this problem.

Portfolio-

Example of web design work

Build a solid portfolio. Any client will ask you to show them the works you have done before, so you need a portfolio. How to make that? Simple, you need to work for free or very low pricing! Yes, at least 4–5 projects you need to work that way. Take these jobs from your friends, FB groups(Works very well), Freelancer.com. literately from anywhere. When you are offering free service you will be loaded with works. This way you can get your experience and a solid portfolio.

Website-

Freelance UI/UX designer and frontend developer from Bangalore

You need a good visibility. If you are not visible then you will be left with no works. Get a website from an experienced web designer and upload all your works in it. Hire a good SEO expert and get SEO done. SEO plays a major role. This involves a little investment though. But trust me this will work at least for your region or nearby locality.

Above points are practical solutions to gain more visibility. At least I started something similar to above. Currently, I am ranked #4 in Google India (Bangalore) for a keyword freelance web designer. My website www.amith.in. I get 200–300 unique visitors every week and 5–10 queries from potential clients.

Hope this helps. Have a successful career ahead.
