Steelseries Siberia v3 Black Genuine Review | Issues | Bugs | Cons | Siberia v3 mic echo

Spread the love

Steelseries released its new v3 series.

In these series they have introduced RETRACTABLE MICROPHONE.

The microphone also features a new, slimmer design. Pull it out when you need it for gaming, streaming or just talking with friends and family. Hide it when you’re on the go.

Also there is a MUTE SWITCH which helps to turn on or off the mic via your headphone. I don’t think this feature is very useful, Because this feature is not at all necessary.

Siberia V3 is a MULTIPLATFORM headset, and it works with virtually everything.

It works on the PC, Mac® and mobile devices. An Xbox One® version is coming soon. Simply put, it will work with any device with single or dual 3.5mm audio ports.

So coming to sound quality v3’s stunning, high-end audio is a result of its redesigned acoustical chamber and new SteelSeries speaker drivers. Internally they cut down the number of parts, hand-selected the components, and reengineered how it all comes together for a refined acoustic space.

The sound is natural and rich, while offering powerful impact and crisp detail. Whether it’s gaming or media, at home or on-the-go, the Siberia v3 delivers.

Below are the specification of Steelseries Siberia v3

Pros

  • Cool Design
  • Pretty good Sound quality
  • Nice Mic system
  • Compatible with many devices. (got converter to connect with your pc.)

Cons and buggs/issues

  • High priced (Compared to other brands)
  • Not very comfortable for long use (Ears start paining)
  • Siberia v3 mic echo (It echos the other user voice/background music while gaming ) This issue already been known by steelseries.
  • RMA process is very disgusting. User have to pay the shipping charges to their place. (Denmark)

One of the review from user of amazon addressing the mic echo issue.

“ONE BIG FLAW: The microphone suffers from excessive crosstalk from the drivers / speaker line. Whatever you are listening to will make its way to the microphone line. The sound isn’t bleeding from the drivers themselves and making its way to the mic, this is an electrical crosstalk problem. Even if you use the physical mute switch it will still be there. “
