Lenovo released performance packed Zuk Z1 in India just for Rs 13,499. Zuk z1 is not a new phone though. It is just a new brand with old hardware. Zuk Z1 is using a pretty old processor Snapdragon 801. That is like 2 years old. This is phone exactly same as One Plus One but with little enhancements.
Performance and Gaming: 9/10
Zuk Z1 got got a very good processor which can handle most of the recent high end games like asphalt, Modern Combat and Real Racing 3. Zuk z1 is running on cynogen os which is pretty stock android. You will get a Nexus like experience in UI. Also day to day process like opening apps, camera, file manager and gallery etc are damn fast. As it is packed with 3 GB of ram you will not notice any lagg or glitch while switching apps.
Camera: 7/10
Zuk Z1 got a 13mp back shooter and 8mp front shooter. Back camera is not that great though, its just decent for what we are paying for. The font camera is done pretty well here compared to Moto g4 plus and redmi note 4. Moto g4 and redmi note 4 are the very near competitors for zuk z1 in all the aspects.
Sound: 8/10
Sound quality through speakers is average and if plugged a headphones its just awesome. Call quality is fine no issues.
Storage: 10/10
Zuk z1 got a huge blockbuster 64 GB storage which is awesome. But no expandable storage which is not even required. For the price range Zuk z1 wins in storage.
Design: 9/10
It got a metal finish in sides and plastic at back which looks cool.
Ports: 9/10
USB C type port, 3.5 audio jack on top. And got slots for two 4G nano sims. This phone is unlocked any brand sim can be used.
Cons
The Zuk Z1 is high end phone in the price range. But the heating is very bad. For normal usage it heats up very soon. While gaming and charging the phone heat is insane. Camera not that great. No extra SD card slot. Non Removable Battery. No headphones in the Box. Display is some what i feel not up to the mark. Auto brightness is very slow which takes 3 sec to adjust.
Final thoughts
Zuk z1 is packed with good processor and can play high end games for now. So this is not future proof mobile. If that is fine, then go for it. This phone is available in amazon for Rs. 13,499.
